Tree-top adventure course above Serre-Ponçon

Lake Serre-Ponçon is the largest artificial reservoir in Western Europe. The Réallon Adventure Park is nestled among the larch trees 950 meters above its shores, offering an unobstructed view of Saint-Michel Bay.

The highest-altitude tree-top adventure park in Serre-Ponçon

The Serre-Ponçon reservoir spans the towns of Savines-le-Lac, Embrun, Crots, Chorges, Pontis, and Réallon. When it comes to water activities, there’s plenty to choose from: sailing, paddleboarding, swimming, and equipped beaches. For high-altitude activities, the choice comes down to two parks: Crots Branches (on the lakeshore, 600 m above sea level) and the Réallon Adventure Park (above the lake, 1,560 m above sea level).

The 950-meter difference in elevation is no small matter: in Réallon, the average summer temperature is 5 to 7 °C lower than at the lakefront. Even in the midst of a heat wave (35 °C in Embrun), the temperature in the park’s larch forest remains at 24 °C.

Distances from the towns in the Serre-Ponçon basin

The best plan is to go tree-climbing in the morning (a 10 a.m. session, when it’s still cool) and then go swimming at the lake in the afternoon. This is a tried-and-true itinerary for local families.

Who is it for?

The park is designed for families aged 35–55 with children aged 5–13 on vacation in the Serre-Ponçon area, as well as for couples visiting during the off-season who are looking for a unique outdoor activity, and for school groups in June and September.

Estimated prices (to be confirmed with Bruno before opening): Apprentice €14, Adventurer €18, Explorer €22, Family Pass (4 people) €65.
